Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State on the 6th December, 2024 in response to the need for a State owned teaching hospital established by Kogi State Government, to provide facilities for diagnostic, curative, preventive, rehabilitative training services in the Medical treatment for the people of Kogi state, and the international community
